What We Learned During GLBT Book Month
In June, libraries celebrated GLBT Book Month™. The month was first established in the early 1990s by the Publish Triangle, an American association of gays and lesbians in the publishing industry. GLBT Book Month is an annual nationwide celebration of LGBT authors and writers.
Now the American Library Association helps coordinate the event through its office for Diversity, Literacy, and Outreach Services and ALA’s Gay, Lesbian, Bisexual, and Transgender Roundtable.
